Educational Tour to Lucknow

Under the chairmanship of Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences operating under Mahayogi Gorakhnath University organized a two-day educational trip from 05/06/2023 to 06/06/2023 in the Science City Lucknow for the overall development of the students. On the first day of the tour, the students visited 'Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) where senior scientist Dr. Sanjeev Yadav showed the contribution of CDRI in the field of medicine of India and various animals used for their testing. Increasing use of bioinformatics, its importance in research and students’ doubts were resolved by giving presentations by leading scientists. After this, the students and teachers visited the National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) in which the scientist there, Dr. Mridul Shukla, gave important information about various types of high- quality research methods being conducted by the institute. In this sequence, Dr. Sanjeeva Nayaka explained the method of preserving plant specimens through herbarium and also gave information to the students about long-term storage and preservation of plants. On the second day of the educational tour, the students 'Visited the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) in which the scientist there, Dr. Rakshpal Singh, informed the students about the DNA SEQUENCER, RTPCR, NANO DROP, ULTRA CENTRIFUGE, GEL DOC SYSTEM present in the central equipment facility located in the institute. Scientists also introduced the students to the properties of all the medicinal and aromatic plants grown in the institute. During the visit to 'Biotech Park', senior scientist Dr. Uma Shankar talked about various biotech companies operating in the institute and their products. He also gave detailed information and also inspired the students about how to establish themselves in new industries with innovation in future. This visit made the students aware of various research institutes and various future programs being conducted in them. During the visit, Assistant Professor of the department, Dr. Pawan Kumar Kanojia, Dr. Amit Kumar Dubey, Mr. Dhananjay Pandey, Ms. Prabha Sharma, Ms. Apoorva Anand Singh and Mr. Anil Mishra made their important contribution in maintaining discipline by motivating the students.
