'Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad' was founded by Yugpurush Gorakshpeethadheeswar Brahmleen Mahant Digvijainath ji Maharaj way back in the year 1932. Poojya Maharaj ji a great visionary in his own right and one of the stalwarts of independent Bharat, realised that the future of our country lies in the hands of young India, therefore to provide them with wholesome Bharat-centric education, a Bharat centric education system is one of the most important need of our nation. Therefore to accomplish and achieve his envisioned dream Poojya Maharaj ji decided to redesign/remodel a Bharat centric education system by establishing prototype educational institutions from primary to higher education levels. Moreover, His Holiness Poojay Maharaj ji had been a cardinal point and had played a pivotal role in the establishment of one of the first universities of the independent India, the then 'Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur' today known as 'Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur'. In the course of time Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad evolved and grown into a Triveni i.e. a junction of the three main streams of knowledge viz. Education, Health and Technology.
Rashtra Sant Gorakshpeethadheeswar Brahmleen Mahant Avedyanath ji Maharaj established a long chain of institutions in the education & service fields viz. Education, Training, Medical and Technology to cater with and serve the urban and rural populations of Eastern Uttar Pradesh specially Gorakhpur region under the umbrella of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad Param Poojya Brahmleen Mahant Avedyanath ji Maharaj metamorphosed the Jnana Yajna that is sacred fire/ light Education initiated it by his Poojya Gurudev Brahmleen Mahant Digvijainath ji Maharaj into a pious means of his Sadhna to serve the people and in this process he was able to convert this Yajna into a Mahayajna having blazing flame of light of welfare and service, सेवा से साधना was his ever guiding motto throughout his life. In this process of Sadhna through service of the people. resulted in establishing a chain of educational institutions from Primary to Post graduate levels including vocational employment oriented institutions like Polytechnic, B.Ed. M.Ed. Training and Nursing Colleges.
Keeping public welfare in the mind, Ayurvedic and Allopathic hospitals also have been established to serve the common people. All the above mentioned welfare and service oriented projects are the result of the Gorakshpeeth's motto सेवा से साधना ‘Sadhna through Service’.
