Guru Shri Gorakshnath College of Nursing is a part of Guru Shri Gorakshnath Chikitsalaya, owned by MAHARANA PRADAP SIKSHIA PARISAD, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The MPSP has been established during 1932 by Bramhleen Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaja. It has various schools, colleges of professional and vocational institutions. It has been established to develop the standard of living of people belongs is venerated as the most sacred place in the world.
Guru Shri Gorakshnath College of Nursing established in the year 2009 in the name of Guru Shri Gorakshnath Chiktsalaya with ANM (Auxiliary Nurse & Midwives) 02 years program and 2010 GNM (Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery) has been established with 40 intake per year. During 2016 B.Sc. Nursing & Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree programs has been stated with the affiliation of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur.Guru Shri Gorakshnath College of Nursing is a first Nursing college which is affiliated to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University will play a major anchoring role to reach health care to populace.During 2021 de-affiliated with DDU Gorakhpur University and established Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Gorakhpur and M.Sc. Nursing program has been started with the intake of 40 (08 intake in each speciality). Now the college is named as Faculty of Nursing and Paramedical, Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Gorakhpur. College is running successfully with 100 intakes in all disciplines of Nursing.
The populace which is getting benefitted by Guru Shri Gorakshnath College of Nursing, Gorakhpur belongs to Eastern UP, Western Bihar are most backward in light of development and health care. These regions are facing ever increasing struggle of Encephalitis, Malaria, Kala-azar, Measles, Chicken Pox, Gaiter, Poliomyelitis and various infectious diseases. The people of these regions are very poor (BPL), they could not even meet both end meals. They cannot think for modern medical care which is day by day becoming costlier. Therefore, Guru Shri Gorakshnath Chikitsalaya and Guru Gorakshnath Institute of Medical Sciences is ever a volunteer to provide a standard education, health care and treatment to ensure the above.
